Beginner Clinic:

Sunday, July 8th, 2 pm – 4 pm

15300 Cavanaugh Rd., Keenesburg (Please use Googlemaps for accurate GPS location)

Cost: $20

Come learn about the sport of mounted archery! The first portion of the clinic will be information about what gear you need, methods for desensitizing your horse, and the different forms and styles of competition for all levels.

In the second portion of the clinic, we will review the safety rules on the range and go over some basic archery techniques. No horses needed! Whether you have shot a bow before or not, there is something for everyone to learn on the ground.

Cost is $20 per person. Just bring yourself and a chair. If you would like to shoot, you must sign up to be a member of Mounted Archery Association of the Americas for insurance purposes. Membership is $55 for an individual and $75 for family. Equipment will be provided, but if you have your own recurve bow, feel free to bring it. No crossbows or compounds permitted.

If you’re interested in attending, please RSVP with us so we know how many to expect.

Practice:

Please check our Facebook page for practice days and times.

Riders and archers of all skill levels welcome. If you’ve never touched a bow, that is fine! We will have rental equipment available for $5 a day.

You must be a current member of Mounted Archery Association of the Americas to ride and/or shoot, but we make sign up easy when you come out  for your first practice.

Horses will not be provided by the club leaders, but don’t let that stop you. If your horse has never seen a bow, we can help you introduce them to archery.

There is no pressure to get on and start shooting right away if you and your horse aren’t ready. Come out, see how this works, and learn at your own pace.

Observers are welcomed as well.
